About RPM

RPM Challenge is a month long event that takes place in February each year to challenge musicians in recording an album's worth of all original music. Learn More

Listen

Kolmogorov Complexity (2008)

Somewhere between beat-driven and ambient with darkwave/down-tempo/glitch/braindance influences, a collection of moody, atmospheric pieces using lots of piano, filters, and effects.

Freaks (2010)

Beat-driven ambient? Ambient grooves? Mind-numbing repetition? All of the above? It is what it is. Electronic music, hopefully with some heart, some soul, and more bass than expected (but damn if it doesn't sound good).

Anti Idol (2011)

Spoilers (2016)

As the woman says, Spoilers! Oh, okay, inspired by Doctor Who, Broken Robot Factory's return to RPM is full of electronically-produced sounds that nearly approximate music. The album kicks off with a non-RPM track that BRF thought would be the last song written by the band, and is consequently named after Dr. Song's last appearance. Of course, The Doctor Lies naturally follows the declaration of finality. The rest of the album evokes moods, borrows bass lines, sounds, and even calls on a 70's song from Sesame Street. Yeah, it's a Broken Robot Factory album.
